Product Review: Surprisingly very sturdy and well designed
Our 4 year old daughter still loves her desk and still sits to draw and read at it one year on. It stores her pad, felt tips, crayons and paints in the storage part nicely. It was very easy to build and i can't believe how sturdy it is given it wasn't that expensive. She likes a bit of independence now and again and sits at this desk quite comfortably, getting on with her business.

Product Review: Its nice but a bit overpriced for what it is
First of all beware that the metal legs on either side make it wider than the desktop (about 5 or 6 cm) so take that into account, it only just fitted in the space I had.

Second from the price and the glossy photos I'd expected a bit more quality materials in the build, maybe a few mills of real wood on the mdf or some solid built drawer bottoms. Instead its all mdf or chipboard and the bottoms of the drawers are thick cardboard/hardboard, there isnt that much depth to the drawers either, maybe I just wasn't considering it hard enough.

That said the legs/frame are decent aluminium and fit together very solidly and the desk itself is solid and looks nice, its probably as good as you'd get in terms of flatpack, think Ikea but a bit nicer.

It took me a fair while to put together on my own but I did manage it so the instructions are alright.

Product Review: Strong table really pleased
I trawled the Internet for a strong sturdy desk that would not wobble whilst I worked. I am very pleased with the delivery of my Trexus table as ordered on Sunday received a text message from the courier on weds to inform me they will deliver by 5.30 same day!. The courier was polite and on time. The Trexus table is a perfect colour that suits my bedroom decor and it took my husband less than an hour to assemble -simple one man job! Product Review: Superb
I bought an ex-demo of the Celle this week for my home office with all the features built in. When I received it, my first impression was that it looked to be a very functional task chair - sturdy and designed to be sat in for long periods at a desk. Plus it looks really smart - an unmistakable Herman Miller look that adds a touch of class to my study.

When I felt the seat and back, though, I found it to be a lot firmer than I had expected, so before I sat in it I worried whether it was going to be too firm and therefore uncomfortable. However! When I sat in this chair I was delighted to find that it was very comfortable with just the right level of firm support and flexibility in the right places. And I found it very easy to adjust, too (not that it needed much adjusting).

This is a solid, well-designed chair that is going to last a very long time even through daily use. I've made the mistake in the past of buying cheap task chairs that started off feeling okay,...

Product Review: Solid Capacious Desk
Just erected mine after a few months of it sitting there. I had to wait for the room. Whatever, putting it to together is quite easy. I'd advise having two people do it since it is quite heavy. I did it myself and wish I hadn't! When assembled, it is a solid piece of desk which is roomy on top and underneath, and is nice to look at too. The feet are height adjustable and likely you could put small castors on the back to aid movement if needed. You can route cables via the holes on the top left and right and via the openings in the back. Overall, I think this is a bargain. I am going to add a small filing cabinet to go underneath and a trolley for my PC.

Product Review: Nice piece of furnature
I bought this for home use to replace an MFI desk that was over 20 years old.

I would say that this is a really nice desk at a sensible price. Yes, you could buy one that was solid wood, but that would be so much more expensive.

The pieces are all well made and the instructions are comprehensive with all parts properly labelled to ensure that you do put the right pieces together.

The only point that I would make is that this is a complex self assembly item. I have been putting flat packs together, at home, for more than 30 years and this was easily the most complex. It took just over 3 hours start to finish. Don't let this put you off, but I think it only fair to make sure that you do know that this is the case.

Providing you put in the effort to build it carefully, then it ends up very solid and looking good, with plenty of storage space.

The only other thing that I would suggest is a quality electric screwdriver; you are...

Product Review: Good Design and Well Made
Delivered in good time and although packaging looked a little beaten up, all was well inside. Only fault was that the covering for the drawer base had come away - easily fixed with a little glue, and out of sight anyway.
The desk can mostly be put together by one person, but you need two of you to lift and position the desk top. It does take at least 2 hours, but take your time and you don't really notice it.
Instructions were generally good although I went wrong twice - with the modesty board and one of the drawer-runners. Managed to put both on upside-down so good if instructions were a little clearer in highlighting what to look for. The design and fixings used made these easy to rectify though.
The desk is really solid (and heavy) and looks really good, so would recommend it.

Product Review: Fantastic! It's that simple
I was looking for a good 'Anglepoise' type lamp to be used in my home-office. I had considered the cheaper twenty pound models but decided to take a chance on this at quite a bit more money. It is definitely worth the extra money, without doubt. I love it for the following reasons:
* Simple design
* Simple, flat disc base
* Longer than average arms, a longer reach
* A brilliant LED lamp with a good spread of light
* In-line on-off switch on the main part of the cable
* 3 stage dimmer switch on the head unit of the lamp (rarely have it on the brightest setting)
I have it on a solid desk and it pretty much stays in one position. I wouldn't say it is one for the kids to keep messing with as I could see it getting damaged (you buy a twenty pound 'Anglepoise' for that!). Highly recommend. And on standard service it arrived two days after ordering. Happy Customer.

Product Review: A beautiful masterpiece
This is without a doubt an iconic masterpiece brought into the 21st century. I studied anglepoise lamps about four years ago, and have waited for a special occasion so that I could treat myself as they are quite obviously not cheap! My wait was also rewarded with a 40% sale last month :-D

I had the opportunity to see this particular lamp in a shop before I bought it, so I was aware of its quality. Do not be fooled into thinking the shade is glass, it is quite definitely plastic, which I think is a shame considering the price.

Another issue I have is that no matter how many times you tighten the nuts (allen keys are provided), the lamp does not stay very firm for long, thereby drooping slightly when lowered into position.... and my lamp is only a couple of weeks old!!!

Product Review: Good quality, good value desk
Received quickly from seller. Very heavy item. The delivery driver said "I've got the biggest flatpack ever for you" and he had difficulty getting it from the truck to the front door. Anyway assembly wasn't too difficult except for two pieces where you had to screw your own holes into the wood which was a bit annoying but possible with just the screw and a screwdriver. Says requires two people but I managed to do it alone in about 3 or so hours. Might be useful to have some help for the last few steps. Looks great and is built well. A great upgrade from my old tiny desk.
