This lamp was designed to celebrate 70 years of the original anglepoise lamps and redesigned for today. The Type1228 mimics the style of a traditional bankers light.
It features a weighted round base, switched external lamp holder and blue coloured ambient shade which subtly changes colour when the light is switched on.
Designed by Kenneth Grange and launched in 2004 this lamp is already a timeless classic. Anglepoise has had plenty of companys impersonating their designs and lamps over the years but these are the original and the best desk lamps on the market today, Anglepoise are a British company that has been going for over 75 years and are one of the pioneers of British design.
This lamp is perfect for your home office or work and is the ideal reading light due to the shade being adjustable in any direction.

Product Review: Light review
An excellent design which has stood the test of time. I bought this one as I liked the looks of the light and its blue shade. It can be adjusted using allen keys. I preferred this to the rivetted option. It is on as I write this review. No glare, great design. Not cheap, but very elegant!
