I have worked from home for the last two years but missed my comfortable office desk - instead having to put up with a tiny desk that resembled something a child would use. I searched high and low for a suitable desk but was put off by the high delivery prices to my home - you see I live on a Scottish island and delivery prices can be extortionate. I finally found the desk I wanted on Amazon and was delighted with the free delivery. Despite the horrendous weather across Scotland, the desk arrived 2 days early. It was simple to construct and have been using it for the last 2 days for my work.

Product Review: Product great - Delivery awful!!
It's hard to get excited about a shelving unit.

The product I have no issue with, as long as you have the tools to put it together. But over all serves a purpose.

The main issue I had was the delivery of the item, it took almost 2 weeks and the delivery service where less than helpful. Chasing up the item I was expected to use a premium rate number. I suggest calling the company that sell the item as they where more than helpful and even called back to let me know the delivery time and date. Although the delivery company literally rang when outside the building claiming they couldn't find it.

Such a palaver for a shelving unit, in the end I wished I had paid a little extra and picked one up form argos!

I have just taken delivery of the 6ft pine bookcase made by Heartland Interiors and I couldn't be more pleased. More importantly, neither could the 8yr-old boy whose bedroom it now proudly graces. Beautifully and clearly handmade it is solid in construction, well-jointed and very robust. The finish is excellent and the company have been excellent throughout. It was made and delivered ahead of schedule; they kept in regular contact about its progress; the delivery time was at my convenience with just a 2hr delivery window (none of that taking a day off work to wait for a courier only to find they don't deliver it) and the guys who delivered it were extremely courteous and carried it carefully up 3 flights of stairs taking pains not to mark the walls or skirting boards. All in all an excellent product and an excellent service. I will most definitely use again.

I am very pleased with this. The item is as described and really well made.

I had a little to-and-froing to get an agreed delivery date, but once that was sorted it arrived within 5 minutes of the ETA given by the driver. They will deliver to the room of your choice.
The desk was well wrapped, in a heavy cardboard box with polystyrene padding. The wood is great quality and it is very well made, with the doors and drawers working perfectly. There is a tiny piece of work to do (the handles are screwed inside the drawers to protect them, but apart from that and unboxing, then it's good to go.

I will be buying again from Oak Furnitureland...based on this sale their goods are quality and the service is spot on!

Interesting story I had seen a Wacom drawing tablet it was something around the region of 900 pounds, got a loan out and got as far as clicking on checkout...a Visa verification popup stopped me so me been me I chose not to spend anytime at all on filling out this app. I saw this which I thought would be a much wiser choice, it is everything I needed and more...no more neck ache too. There is also a nice little troff in the back to put paper so very sturdy and solid. Invest in some clips for your paper which are very cheap from any artist shop otherwise your drawings will be sliding.

Desk arrived within 6 days. Packaging was really good. No damage to product at all. The only little issue was that the manual to setup the desk was not really clear enough. It took me two hours and altleast two people to set all up. But worth the effort, really happy with the desk enough space for items. Would recommend to anybody who want bigger desk to work.

This desk is fantastic. The craftsmanship is excellent and it is really solid. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a lot of desktop space. A few words of wisdom though, ensure that you have measured correctly. The desk comes well packaged and would only fit through double doors. To get the desk (once unpacked) into the room we wanted we had to take the door off the hinges. It was worth it though.

Product Review: Surprisingly very sturdy and well designed
Our 4 year old daughter still loves her desk and still sits to draw and read at it one year on. It stores her pad, felt tips, crayons and paints in the storage part nicely. It was very easy to build and i can't believe how sturdy it is given it wasn't that expensive. She likes a bit of independence now and again and sits at this desk quite comfortably, getting on with her business.

Very pleased with the desk, was easy to build and is very sturdy. Could perhaps have done with being a bit taller, but the legs have screw in feet which was able to give me a little more height.

Product Review: Its nice but a bit overpriced for what it is
First of all beware that the metal legs on either side make it wider than the desktop (about 5 or 6 cm) so take that into account, it only just fitted in the space I had.

Second from the price and the glossy photos I'd expected a bit more quality materials in the build, maybe a few mills of real wood on the mdf or some solid built drawer bottoms. Instead its all mdf or chipboard and the bottoms of the drawers are thick cardboard/hardboard, there isnt that much depth to the drawers either, maybe I just wasn't considering it hard enough.

That said the legs/frame are decent aluminium and fit together very solidly and the desk itself is solid and looks nice, its probably as good as you'd get in terms of flatpack, think Ikea but a bit nicer.

It took me a fair while to put together on my own but I did manage it so the instructions are alright.
